Isagani (Gani) M. Chico, MD, is Executive Director and Head of the Americas Oncology Medical Group, Covance Clinical Development Services, based in Maryland, USA. He has over 30 years of Oncology early and late clinical development research experience. His industry experience includes leadership of global trials in solid tumor and hematologic malignancies, early to late development compounds including immune-oncology, biologics, chemotherapy, radiation oncology and supportive care. Has held senior level positions with small and medium sized biotech, pharma companies and CROs , and was a medical reviewer and team leader at the FDA’s Division of Oncology Drug Products for ten years. Dr. Chico serves as Covance Head of the Americas Oncology Medical team and medical lead for the Biosimilars Working Group, provides portfolio-level medical oversight to pharmaceutical partners, including early strategic engagement at study, portfolio and program levels.
